Jill Zarin: 'I Needed To Regroup And Re-Center'

http://www.layddee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/Jill-Zarin-2.jpgIt would be an understatement to call the last season of Real Housewives of New York difficult for Jill Zarin.

It was a polarizing season as fans who used to love the duo of Jill and Bethenny Frankel were forced to choose sides as their friendship unraveled on the show. But, Jill says her relationship with the show's fans is on an upswing.

"There's no question that I think a lot of fans who questioned their feelings about me have come back to the nest," Jill tells Zap2it.

"I think because there were a lot of influences last year and that's last year," she adds. "The good thing about TV is people have a short memory and make decisions and such based on what they see in front of them at the time."

Jill has a metaphor for the relationship she has with her cast mates, which she says resembles summer camp.

"I sort of visualize the show like the seven of us are in a bunk," She explains. "And some of them will be your best friends. Some of them you'll like a lot. And some of them it will be harder to get along with."

"We're all in the same bunk," she continues. "So you do the best you can to try to get along with everybody all the time and it doesn't always work, but you try. And I think that's different between this year and last year is that I believe everybody on the cast tries to get along. It doesn't always work, but tries."

This season, she says she came back to show "the real Jill" after being encouraged by her family, friends, and fans, and after taking a couple much-needed breaks from the public eye.

"I spent a lot of time with my family and decided to come back to the show because I didn't want to leave on a down note," she says. "I needed to regroup and re-center."

Real Housewives of New York Sneak Peak

The ladies put on their best and brightest whites for the Marriage March of which Sonja is the Grand Marshal. What should be an exciting event may turn to drama when Alex thinks that Sonja doesn't have the right attitude.

Someone who certainly isn't keeping quiet is new housewife Cindy. When Cindy hears that Ramona is talking about her friends behind their backs she is unlikely to keep this information to herself.

Will feuds between the ladies break out this week or for once, will everyone keep their thoughts to themselves? Find out this Thursday 4/14 at 10/9c on BRAVO's Real Housewives of New York.

Ramona Singer Throws RHONY Premiere Party

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/imagecache/350width/postIMG8712.jpgNew York Housewife Ramona Singer threw a premiere party to beat all premiere parties Tuesday, to celebrate the kick off of the fourth season of her hit reality show, and Radar Online has the exclusive photos.

Ramona was joined by her hunky hubby, Mario and her beautiful sixteen-year-old daughter Avery - and in the words of Ramona, it was “truly an electrifying night!”

“I was so excited to host the event,” Ramona told Radar Online in an exclusive interview. “I picked a very chic place in Covet. The space was beautiful and everything came out even better than I thought! It was truly an electrifying night.

“The best part for me was that I was the wine sponsor for my own event! Everyone was drinking Ramona Pinot Grigio and the response was fabulous! My guests could not stop coming up to me and telling me how great the wine was.

“Even those who normally drink only one glass were drinking multiple! I was really proud and happy I was able to share that with the people closest to me.

“I was so honored that the President of Bravo, Frances Berwick, attended. It was so sweet of her to come and show her support.”

But, despite the high profile names milling around, Ramona says her biggest and most celebrated VIPs were her own family.

“Not only did my husband Mario come but my daughter Avery, now being sixteen years old, was able to come along as well. I was so thrilled to have her there next to me and she looked stunning!”

Kelly Bensimon Comes Back From “Crazy”

http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2010/news/100315/kelly-bensimon-240.jpgKelly Bensimon spent the evening before her Real Housewives of NYC premiere helping out a longtime pal.

“I support those who support me,” the mom of two, 42, tells me during A Blue Affair to benefit Autism Speaks held Wednesday at NYC’s Trump SoHo. “I love my friends, and I’m here to support all of their causes.”

With Real Housewives of NYC season four set to begin tonight, Kelly dishes about “coming back from crazy.” But there’s one topic that she won’t touch.

“There’s a lot of misconceptions about me,” Kelly says, with her friend of 15 years (who asks not to be named) in tow. “It was hard to come back from being ‘crazy.’ How do you come back from that? With everything that I say, people are going to be like ‘what does she mean by that?’ I don’t mean anything. I’m very cut-and-dried. I’m straight forward.”

She adds, “There’s no gray area about me. I’m incredibly loyal and generous, but I’m also incredibly sensitive. If you rub me the wrong way, I could cry, scream, yell. But you know what? That’s OK. It’s called being human. And if you’re not human and you don’t have emotion, there’s something wrong with you.”

What can we expect from her this season?

“You’re going to see me working,” she says. “I know, you’re like ‘she works?’ [laughs] You’re going to see me working, you’re going to see a lot more of my kids. Everyone’s like ‘I’m the peacemaker, I’m the glue.’ I’m not saying I’m anyone. I’m having a good time.”

She continues, “I applied my own life to the show. For example, if my friend was having a problem, I would be there for her. If you were having a problem, I would be there for you. Not to give you advice, but to be like ‘you have a friend.’ Sometimes it’s nice to know that you have another person there when you need a buffer there to listen and to vent to. You can be like ‘I’m angry.’ That doesn’t mean I have to be on your side; I could just be there listening. That’s who I am this season – a listener, and to show everyone that I’m actually there. That’s what a real friend is – someone that’s there.”

Hair Color Plays a Role in Housewives Drama

http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2011/news/110418/ny-housewives-440.jpg

The Real Housewives of New York City are no strangers to drama, catfights and taking sides, but this season the ladies have taken their differences one step further – division by hair color.

"It's just the natural divide, it's like [the San] Andreas fault," LuAnn de Lesseps, referring to California's earthquake boundary, told PEOPLE recently at Bravo's upfront presentation. "You just can't guess when it's going to split."

The Countess is joined by Jill Zarin and new housewife Cindy Barshop to make up "Team Brunette," while Alex McCord, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan are members of "Team Blond" – but Kelly Bensimon says her ombre highlights (dark at the roots, light at the tips) kept her firmly neutral.

"I don't really play sides," she said. "Ramona and Alex and Sonya are incredibly spirited and funny, LuAnn and Jill and Cindy and I just get along. I have a great time with all of them."

5 Secrets of The RHONY's Season 4 Return

http://www.usmagazine.com/uploads/assets/articles/40076-5-secrets-of-the-real-housewives-of-new-york-citys-season-4-return/1302023390_rhwny-290.jpgIf you thought last season's Real Housewives all-girls getaway to St. John -- later dubbed "Scary Island" -- was must-see TV, get ready for more catty drama when the Real Housewives of New York City returns for a fourth season Thursday.

Among the highlights on the much-anticipated new episodes? A trip to Morocco, new men for LuAnn de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan, and lots and lots of drama.

"It's our best season yet," cast member Alex McCord tells Us Magazine.

Read on for more Housewives dish ahead of Thursday's premiere:

1. The identity of the woman on the receiving end of McCord's "thug in a cocktail dress" insult will finally be revealed. How does the suddenly more vocal McCord characterize season 4? "It's not about one epic fight that turns into a Greek tragedy," she says. "It's a series of things. Positive, negative, dramatic, fun. It's our best season yet."

2. New Housewife on the block Cindy Barshop fits right in with the New York City six. And as Barshop tells Us, she felt no pressure to fill the void left by Bethenny Frankel, who exited the series to headline her own spin-off. "I didn't feel like I was filling someone's spot," Barshop says. "I felt like I was joining an eclectic group of girls and I was going to see what happened. The biggest challenge was that there was no handbook for how to join these girls. Usually with relationships it takes a while, but in this situation I had to do it quickly."

3. In the wake of her "Scary Island" experience, look for Kelly Bensimon to sit back and play peacekeeper as her fellow 'wives go wild. "I don't like to take sides," Bensimon tells Us. "There isn't really one [dramatic] moment [this season]. It's real relationships with people clashing over real things. It's like 'You hurt me, I'm mad at you, now fix it.'"

4. She's settling into a series regular gig on Season 4, but Morgan still isn't used to seeing herself on TV -- and insists appearances can be deceiving. "In real life I think I look fab and on camera I look chunky," Morgan says. "It's okay, because thin is not always in. Men like a little meat." One man who appreciates Morgan's curves? Her new artist boyfriend, Brian Farrell, who will make his Housewives debut on the premiere.

5. Move over Sex and the City gals! The Real Housewives are headed to Morocco. While we're not yet sure if the Housewives' trek will rival their trip to Scary Island, one thing is clear -- it'll be must-see TV. "We had a lot of fun," Bensimon says. "Apart from the last season, I really don't travel with seven women. It was like a school trip. This school trip [was] high school politics on steroids."

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Thursday at 10 p.m. (EST) on Bravo.

Jill Is Not Happy With Alex McCord On Premiere

The Real Housewives of New York City return to Bravo tonight with an all-new Season 4 and it looks like Jill Zarin may have a new enemy — Alex McCord.

Alex ends up attending the same wedding – unbeknownst to Jill until she sees her there. Caught off guard, Alex starts slamming Jill with questions.

“So wait, I am totally confused now,” Alex says. “You told me a week ago that you knew I was coming to the wedding, but Ramona said you texted her this morning asking her if I was coming. So which is the truth?”

“Why does it matter to you?” Jill asks.

“The only reason it matters is because it’s contradictory,” Alex quickly responds.

“Alex, so what?,” Jill says, getting defensive. “I am happy to see you. It’s a beautiful wedding. We both have a mutual friend. Is there a problem for you? There is no problem for me.”

“I am not the one calling the bride and texting Ramona to find out,” Alex says. “When you hear A and B coming out of the same person’s mouth, you wonder which is it …”

Cindy Barshop's Interview With TV Guide

http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Content/110404/News/4_thurs/110407mag-real-nyc-cindy1.jpgDowntown denizen Cindy Barshop — single mom of twins and owner of the Completely Bare spa empire — is the latest addition to the Big Apple brigade, and she is so keeping it Real.

TV Guide Magazine: You have two baby girls and a business. Why add TV to your workload?
Barshop: I'd just given birth and I am the type who always likes changes. So I think it was a little bit of "baby brain," and a little bit that I enjoy new opportunities.

TV Guide Magazine: Who did you click with?
Barshop: I stayed with my brunette tribe. I immediately clicked with Jill, and I get Kelly. [Laughs] Her whole quirkiness and fun... She's like "granola" good.

TV Guide Magazine: What kind of drama did you get caught up in?
Barshop: A lot. I thought I wasn't gonna have any drama, so I guess Bravo's brilliant because when they mix these girls together — there's a lot going on. Morocco is where most of the separation happens.

TV Guide Magazine: Is there a moment where fans will be like, "We love Cindy"?
Barshop: I think it's when I finally stand up to somebody who nobody usually does.

TV Guide Magazine: How do you think your girls will feel when they're old enough to see you on the show?
Barshop: I think they're going to be proud of me. On reality shows, nobody [looks] perfect. But I think they portray you for how you are. At least, I hope it comes off that way!

Kelly—Will Her Single Status Be Big Storyline?

http://inyobusiness.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/kelly_bensimon.jpgWhile Kelly Bensimon may have gone on a couple of dates while filming the new season of Real Housewives of New York, she refused to make her love life a big storyline.

"To be honest with you, I kind of took a sabbatical during filming just because I don't want these women kind of speculating about what I'm doing and what I'm not doing," Bensimion recently told me. "I did go on one or two dates with some guys that were really really nice, but...I'm just good with myself and besides I have two unbelievable kids and I'm so proud to be their mother."

As for sexed-up Sonja Morgan's possible new hot boyfriend Brian Farrell, Bensimon said, "With these women, it's maybe their boyfriend one day and you know who knows what it's going to be tomorrow. You never know."

And while there were times during last season that Bensimon didn't exactly come off in the best light, she's confident things will be different now because they have a new producer. "He came and spoke to me and he said, 'Listen, I want people to know Kelly,'" Bensimon said. "He's like, 'I have idea who you are...Do you work?' Nobody knows that I work! Nobody knows that I have kids! People think all I do all day long is make pancakes."

Even so, Bensimon isn't too concerned about how she comes off because the show has given her a platform to give out satchels of gold back, like the trip she took to Haiti to aid disaster relief.

"Do whatever you want," she said. "Make me purple, orange, give me horns. I don't care what you want to do. Just make me bigger than ever so I can be more charitable."

Alex Has A Long Fuse, When It Blows, It Blows!

http://www.9-agency.com/upload/files/260/AustinAlexMcCord2.jpgIn the upcoming new Season 4 of Real Housewives of New York, Alex McCord has completely changed her persona. She’s found her voice and no longer stays silent. Here’s why:

“I have finally had it up to here,” Alex tells Hollywood Life exclusively at the premiere party at NYC’s Covet Lounge on April 5. “I have a very long fuse, and when it blows — it blows.” But, when Alex’s newly found voice causes an uproar among her castmates — only a few of the women have her back!

“The biggest difference in the metamorphosis is that I’m actually just saying what I was thinking all along,” Alex tells us. “Both of us [meaning her husband Simon van Kempen] have felt freer. If you don’t say what you are thinking, people will make up all sorts of things that they think you’re thinking and it’s never real.”

Unfortunately some of the women find Alex’s words annoying. “I love Alex. I think she’s a really sweet girl,” Kelly Bensimon explains to us. “But I think one of her biggest issues is that she’s outspoken about the wrong issues — sometimes less is more.”

But some of her co-stars have her back. “I think they are just shocked that she’s stepping out of her shell,” Ramona Singer tells us. “First season she was a quiet mouse. Now she has a voice. And you know what, she comes to my defense a number of times on the show. She’s become a good friend. I just like her. I think she’s real and does things unpretentiously. She’s very genuine person.”

Sonja Morgan also joins the pro-Alex team … most of the time. “I am very friendly with Alex,” she says. “She’s entitled to have her opinion and vent.”

“I’m there for her, but I do have to pull the plug at certain points,” Sonja adds. “I’m not a doormat. I have to draw the line sometimes. But she is my girlfriend regardless. She’s entitled to her emotions and passion.”

Newest housewife Cindy Barshop — who admittedly is closest with the other side including Jill Zarin, Kelly and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps — even stands up for Alex occasionaly. “I didn’t know her when she wasn’t outspoken,” says Cindy. “Now she’s just saying what’s on her mind. Maybe even a few times I even encouraged her to speak up a little more.”

Why Jill Zarin Decided To Return To RHONY

http://www.usmagazine.com/uploads/assets/articles/27126-jill-zarin-on-salary-dispute-we-should-all-be-paid-the-same/jill-zarin-g.jpgAt the end of the last season of Real Housewives of New York City, things weren't looking good for Jill Zarin. Her friendship with castmate Bethenny Frankel was in ruins and Alex McCord had denounced her over cocktails.

"I was ganged up on by Alex, Bethenny and Ramona," she says. "It's so last year and it's so over that I don't want to talk about it anymore. ... But let me tell you, it's hard to fight three against one. One on one is one thing. Three on one, not so even."

Zarin had experienced the curse of Bravo's "Housewives" franchise. Each cast has to create enough drama to fill a season, which means everyone gets to be the villainess at some point.

It's easy to understand how Jill, who was used to acting as a surrogate mother to Bethenny, might feel abandoned. On the show, however, she came off looking jealous, manipulative and out of touch.

"If I say the name Bethenny, I'm gonna get yelled at," she says. "Anytime Bethenny's name comes out of my mouth, even if it's just to answer an innocuous question, fans get upset and say, 'Oh, Jill, get over it.' "

Last May, as she prepped to shoot season-three reunion episodes, Jill found herself at a crossroads. How could she face a show where she had once been the voice of wisdom? She considered
making her exit — not for a spinoff, just to try to save face.

"I asked my husband, Bobby, 'What should I do?' And he said, 'Don't leave,' " she says. "My family
felt that I wasn't portrayed accurately, that I needed to come back, to have another round at it. Then, if I want to leave, I leave with my head held high."

But fixing a reputation on reality TV is tricky. The harder you try, the worse you can end up looking.
Season four opens with Jill at odds with Alex, and promos reveal a confrontation that leaves Ramona splayed on a bed in a cocktail dress, her body racked with sobs.

This time around, she has a new ally: mother of two Cindy Barshop, a fresh addition to the cast. As the season progresses, the women divide into camps that Zarin labels "the blonds and the brunettes." Famously a redhead on TV, she admits: "I was born a brunette."

"Cindy is a nice Jewish girl from Long Island," says Zarin. "I just connected with her right away. And I'm gonna give her the credit for helping me get my mojo back."

Even if the mojo doesn't stick around, Zarin plans to use the show as a marketing platform. Last season, she sold a book, "Secrets of a Jewish Mother," now out in paperback. On the first new episode, she remarks to her husband that she wants to invent a more elegant version of Spanx — something she wouldn't mind people glimpsing at the hem of her minidresses.

All 6 RHOA Set To Be Back For Season Four

http://blogs.ajc.com/radio-tv-talk/files/2011/04/the-real-housewives-of-atla-300x192.jpgNot surprisingly, the Real Housewives of Atlanta will be back for a fourth season. And Bravo is keeping the same six women: NeNe Leakes, Sheree Whitfield, Kim Zolciak, Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey.

This is the first season where they have chosen to make no change.

And despite rumors of Kim or NeNe leaving for spinoffs, Andy Cohen is sticking with what’s worked already. The Real Housewives of Atlanta is the most popular “Housewives” franchise, averaging nearly 3 million viewers per episode last season, up from 2.7 million season two.

(Word is that “Real Housewives of D.C.” is already gone after one season. It’s unclear if “Miami” will merit a second season.)

Production for Atlanta is supposed to begin this month. Given how cold the relationship has become between Kim and NeNe, will they have any desire to reconcile again?

Cindy Barshop: "It's Like Being on Survivor!"

http://hollywoodnewsflash.us/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/CindyBarshopConfirmedasaRealHousewifeofNewYork.jpgWhile we love the Bethenny, we so don't mind Cindy Barshop, the newest member of Real Housewives of New York City who—for lack of a better term—is Frankel's replacement.

"It's a lot of work," Barshop recently told me about filming her first season, the series' fourth, airing April 7. "I didn't realize how difficult it was going to be. It's like being on Survivor!"

OK, she didn't have to eat bugs and swim through swamps, but...

She did have to endure the crazies: Sonja Morgan, Alex McCord, LuAnn de Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Ramona Singer.

Cindy admits she lost her cool during an all-girls wannabe Sex and the City trip to Morocco. "I actually did," said Barshop. "I really surprised myself. I guess somebody hit one of my core buttons with my family."

Barshop is a successful business woman, owning a string of waxing salons called Completely Bare. She's also a single mother to baby twins.

But this is reality television. Let's get to the nitty-gritty. Does she have any skeletons in her closet?

She insists there's no rap sheet to be found. "When I was in high school, I got I a little bit of trouble, but no, never booked," Barshop said.

How about a sex tape?

She laughed, "No, but I plan on having one soon—just kidding."

Jill Zarin: RHONY 'Enjoyable' Without Bethenny

Jill Zarin's friendship with Bethenny Frankel went down in flames on the last season of Real Housewives of New York.

What's the group dynamic nowadays -- with newcomer Cindy Barshop in and Frankel out?

The sixth season (premiering April 7) is "my favorite," Zarin told Us Magazine during a visit to the NYC headquarters with her sister, radio personality Lisa Wexler.

"Living through it was the most enjoyable season," Zarin. (Frankel now stars in her own Bravo series, Bethenny Ever After; waxing salon entrepreneur Barshop joins show vets Zarin, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer and Alex McCord.)

"I don't think Bethenny ever really fit into the group," Zarin tells Us. "She's found herself on her own show -- her own island. She self-admittedly doesn't like people [besides her husband Jason Hoppy and daughter Bryn, 10 months.]."

Real Housewives of NY: Meet Cindy Barshop

the real housewives of new yorkThree weeks from now, Bravo will (finally!) unleash the fourth season of the Real Housewives of New York City to the masses after postponing the show from its February premiere, which was due to the show still being in production. We haven't seen the NYC women since their tumultuous third season ended last June, which also marked the departure of Bethenny Frankel, who now has her own show on Bravo, Bethenny Ever After.

Even though the show has six women in the main cast, Frankel's departure still left a void that had to be filled. So Bravo producers found a replacement in Cindy Barshop, owner/founder of the Completely Bare salons. Barshop's popular hair removal spa/salon has locations not only in NYC, but in Palm Beach, Florida as well. In other words, Barshop is a self-made woman, which makes her fit right in with the rest of the NYC Housewives financially and socially. Now all we need to know is if she will hold her own in the inevitable catfights that will no doubt come her way.

As reported before, Barshop is the mother of twin girls, Jesse and Zoe, and is all about her business and her kids, which you can see for yourself in this clip of Barshop's NYC apartment.

At first glance of the apartment, you would think that Barshop was completely bohemian or just down to earth, an attribute that would possibly give fellow NYC Housewife LuAnn de Lesseps a rash on sight , but as they say, looks are most definitely deceiving. Barshop is very fashion forward, but has limited closet space and limited space in general. It wouldn't be a surprise if Barshop has a new place to live by the start of season five.

So are you guys ready for Cindy Barshop? And how much of a splash will the "new kid on the block" make in the Big Apple's batch of Real Housewives?

The Real Housewives of New York City fourth season premiere airs on April 7th @ 10/9c on Bravo.

This Season's RHONY Is 'Blondes Vs Brunettes'

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/imagecache/350width/wenn3240232.jpgIt looks like Real Housewives of New York will finally stop those nasty rumors that the show's season premiere was pushed back because it was "too boring."

Radar Online has exclusively learned that in fact the 4th season will be overflowing with drama, as the wives take sides in an all out battle of blondes vs brunettes.

"The new cast member, Cindy Barshop, starts drama right off the bat," a source exclusively tells Radar Online.

"Ramona Singer and Cindy just don't get along, in fact this season it is definitely the blondes vs the brunettes.

"Jill Zarin, Cindy, Countess Luann de Lesseps and Kelly Bensimon are against Ramona, Sonja Morgan and Alex McCord."

According to our source: "It's not as evil and dark as last season, but there's lots of hilarious competitive drama!"

One thing fans will have to look forward to, are some real cat fights between Luann and Alex.

"Luann is taking on Alex and cuts her down at every turn," our source reveals.

In one face-off Lesseps teases McCord about her pricey shoes.

LuAnn: "You look ridiculous walking in those Herman Munster shoes.
Alex: "These are Louis Vuittons."
LuAnn: "Even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes."

At another point, McCord bites back by referring to Lesseps as a "thug in a cocktail dress."

"The cast is excited for the premiere," the source says. "It's explosive with lots of catty drama, and real laugh out loud funny moments, I think it's the best season yet."

Alex McCord Dishes On RHONY's New Season

http://images.limelife.com/R/ResourceModule/generated/rs_alexmccordrealhousewif_w_448_h_621_w_300_h_500.jpgWhen Bravo delayed the premiere of the fourth season of the Real Housewives of New York from February until April, it seemed producers were concerned with early reactions to the show. However, Housewife Alex McCord tells In Touch that such rumors were "started by gossip columnists" and that the upcoming season is full of drama.

"It's not about one Greek tragedy, because I know that viewers got kind of bored with that last time," Alex told In Touch at Cat Ommanney's Inbox Full book launch party on March 3. "It's a series of explosions, one after the other."

As for the newest addition to the cast, Housewife Cindy Barshop will have a tough time replacing fan favorite Bethenny Frankel.

"She is certainly not the same as Bethenny — neither better nor worse," she said. "Everyone brings their own thing, and she definitely brings something to the cast."

This season, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, LuAnn de Lesseps and Alex all return as members of the original cast, making the NYC Housewives the most consistent of all the spin-offs.

"We all go in deep with each other because we all have a history together now," Alex said. "We know where everybody's buttons are — and I think that this is our best season yet!"

Real Housewives of NY Premiere Date Finally Set

http://www.usmagazine.com/uploads/assets/articles/39411-real-housewives-of-new-york-finally-gets-a-premiere-date/1299598824_rhony-290.jpgGet ready for more Big Apple drama, Housewives fans!

After a sudden schedule switcheroo in February that bumped the Real Housewives of New York City's fourth season premiere in favor of the Real Housewives of Miami's debut, the New York women finally have a premiere date.

Come April 7, Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan and newcomer Cindy Barshop will be back on the air, the network announced via their BravoTV.com The Dish blog Monday.

"From the gang's glamorous jaunt to Morocco, to our already-favorite dig "thug in a cocktail dress" (delivered by the ultimate messenger, Alex McCord), to the Countess finding love again, the new season will definitely be worth the wait," the Bravo blog post read.

Brooklyn-based cast member McCord agrees, and tells Us Magazine fans should clear their calendars for Thursday nights.

"I think this is definitely the best season so far," McCord tells Us. "[But] there was no way they were going to get [editing] done in time."

The Real Housewives of New York City premieres April 7 at 10 p.m. (EST) on Bravo.
