Strange Couple Alert: Kim G & Michael Lohan?

http://cdn.thefrisky.com/images/uploads/Kim-and-Michael-main.jpgRemember Kim Granatell of Real Housewives of New Jersey? She was that friend who was by Danielle Staub‘s side for the great weave-pulling incident of 2010. Well apparently, she has a new beau and it’s none other than Michael Lohan, dad of Lindsay. According to Kim, they have been dating since January. “I just got back from making out with Michael in Florida,” she told the New York Post. “He’s got a very big heart. He’s a great guy.”

This is many shades of strange.

First of all—did she really have to plant the image of them swapping spit in our heads?

And second, isn’t Michael supposed to be checked into Celebrity Rehab? What’s he doing in Florida?

And finally, if they’ve been dating for months, was it Kim who called the police during a domestic dispute in March that led to Michael being charged with three counts of domestic violence? If so, does she want to retract the “great guy” sentence?

When I first read that these two were together, I was confused. But on second thought, Kim and Michael do make more sense than he and Kate Major, who was most famous for Jon Gosselin‘s rebound after Hailey Glassman. They are close in age and are from similar areas—New Jersey and Long Island—not to mention that they both have kids.

Or maybe all these fifth tier tabloid favorites keep saying they’re dating to score another second in the media spotlight?

Michaele Taking Legal Action Against 'Rehab'

http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/citydesk/files/2009/11/TANDM.jpgAfter being forced out of Celebrity Rehab, Michaele Salahi is taking legal action, Radar Online has learned exclusively.

Michaele's mother Rosemary Holt tells Radar Online exclusively, "It's in the hands of the lawyer. I encouraged her because things have gone too far."

As Radar Online was first to report, a production source said that the so-called White House Gatecrasher-turned-Real Housewives of D.C. star was released from the VH-1 reality show earlier this month because she failed to show any signs of addiction.

Holt says her daughter is in the early stages of her legal battle against the show.

"I just want her name not to be abused. I want her to have a legal say in this."

Michaele and her husband Tareq first gained fame when they allegedly crashed a White House state dinner in 2009.

They went on to butt heads with every other cast member on the Real Housewives of D.C. Radar Online was first to reveal that Bravo has not renewed the reality show for a second season.

But Michaele's mom is standing by her daughter.

"I told her, 'Even if you don't get anything resolved money-wise, at least it will resolve your reputation'."

Michaele Salahi Talks 'Celebrity Rehab' Exit

Tareq Salahi and his Real Housewives of D.C. wife Michaele Salahi sat down with us for their first TV interview to give their side of the story regarding Michaele's exit from VH1's Celebrity Rehab.

Michaele claimed that she was under the impression that she could enter the rehab facility for treatment of MS, but was asked to leave the Pasadena Recovery Center almost immediately since she did not suffer from an addiction. VH1 tells ET the treatment program that Celebrity Rehab documents "is intended for individuals with serious substance abuse and addiction issues" and "found that she did not meet such criteria."

Michaele tells ET, "They always knew I didn't have an addiction. I always said that from the very beginning. I'm here because I relapsed with MS and I never want to turn to those pills again. It's scary."

She adds, "Alcoholism, addiction, drug addiction, those are things that are serious diseases, but Multiple Sclerosis is just as serious, and it's debilitating. You can end up in a wheelchair. I've had times where I couldn't walk across a room out of my bed, so I really believed when I went [to Celebrity Rehab] that they wouldn't bring me there unless they were going to help me. So to be told that, 'Yes, we can help you,' and then a week later to be ... literally discarded, it was very emotional, very painful, and I don't want to look back on it."

In spite of this unpleasant experience, Michaele reveals that she wouldn't mind starring in yet another reality program.

"I'd love to do Dancing with the Stars," said Michaele. "That's where I should've gone."

Michaele Salahi's Mom Talks 'Celebrity Rehab'

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/books/blog/michaele%20salahi.jpgMichaele Salahi’s mother is fuming over her daughter’s recent boot from Celebrity Rehab, calling it “another White House incident.

“It’s something you’re invited to go to, then you’re thrown out!” Rosemary Holt tells Radar Online exclusively.

As RadarOnline was first to report, a production source said that the White House Gatecrasher-turned-Real Housewives of D.C. star was released from the VH-1 reality show on Tuesday because she failed to show any signs of addiction.

“She never said she had an addiction,” says her mother.

“She was asked to leave because she didn’t have an addiction? She doesn’t! she doesn’t!” Holt exclaims. “She was brought on the show for the purpose of helping her to deal. This is wrong what’s happening to her.

“I know the whole story from the time she left here and the paperwork she’d done and the contracts. She was asked to come on, it wasn’t her choice to come on. She was asked to.

“At first I was negative about it. Then I thought maybe she needs something like this.”

Although she couldn’t address specifics, Holt alluded to other reasons Michaele was asked to star on the show.

“She was brought on, she was told to talk about her feelings, how she survived the White House, her feelings, how she dealt with Bravo and when she went before Congress…,” she says. “That’s what she was brought on for. Then all of a sudden she’s there…the things I heard why she was there…I said ‘you don’t belong there.’

“They signed a contract with my daughter, but yet they can put her out?! Explain that to me. But Missy has to remain with her confidentiality. It should work both ways.”

Michaele Out Of "Rehab," Expose In The Works

http://www.radaronline.com/sites/radaronline.com/files/imagecache/350width/POSTINFphoto1469545.jpgMichaele Salahi has been kicked off Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab because she lacked the one thing you need to enter rehab – an addiction!

A production source tells Radar Online exclusively that the former Real Housewives of D.C. star was released from the show on Tuesday because she failed to show any signs of addiction.

"Michaele Salahi was discharged by Dr. Drew Pinsky approximately one hour ago. Michaele has a ton of issues but she clearly has no addiction issues, whatsoever,” says the source.

“Michaele was a distraction to other cast members, and was complaining that Dr. Drew wasn't properly treating her MS.

“Dr. Drew did a thorough medical examination of her, including a full neurological check-up, and she is fine. Michaele is all drama, that is her main issue."

But according to her husband Tareq, who spoke exclusively with Radar Online, Michaele only agreed to do Celebrity Rehab to get help from Dr. Drew for her Multiple Sclerosis.

"My wife takes her health situation very seriously, she has a real diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. You know, we can show you a bunch of emails about what they wanted her to pretend to be, therefore, but that's going to come out later on with one of the major networks."

"See the first episode of busting some of these reality shows open on ABC News 20/20. There will be a special on Friday and maybe more to come after that."

Michaele Salahi Booted From 'Celebrity Rehab'

http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/2010/09/16/420x316-alg_resize_michaele-salahi.jpg

Michaele Salahi, star of the Real Housewives of D.C., was just kicked off Celebrity Rehab ... TMZ has learned.

Sources on the set tell us Michaele was asked to leave because she has "no addiction," and thus had "no reason to be there."

Over the weekend we got Tareq Salahi out in Los Angeles who told us that Michaele's only addiction was "probably to chocolate."

Wouldn't you think the show would have figured that out before they cast her?

Why Is Michaele Salahi On Celebrity Rehab?

http://www.theepochtimes.com/n2/images/stories/large/2010/09/15/michaele_salahi_104113850.jpg

Real Housewives of DC star and rumored White House party crasher Michaele Salahi will be on Celebrity Rehab, but her husband, Tareq Salahi, is not.

Tareq corrected previous reports by revealing that he is not on the show, but he is staying at Michael Lohan’s place while he is in town, states TMZ.

Tareq also apparently doesn’t understand the whole rehab thing because when he is asked about his wife being there, he claims she isn’t addicted to anything.

What do you think Michaele Salahi is in rehab for? I'd have to go with some sort of eating disorder - makes sense since she's said she doesn't have an "addiction."

Michaele Salahi Doesn’t Have An ‘Addiction’

http://cdn.blogs.sheknows.com/celebsalon.sheknows.com//2010/08/michaele-salahi-hairstyle.jpgMichaele Salahi‘s presence is missed during her Real Housewives of D.C. co-star Cat Ommanney’s launch party for her memoir Inbox Full held Thursday at NYC’s Ted Gibson Salon. The bubbly blonde has been tapped to appear on the latest incarnation of Celebrity Rehab.

A source close to production tells me, “Michaele is on the closed set filming and does not suffer from an ‘addiction.’ More details will be announced in the very near term on what she is doing in this television project.”

Her D.C. co-stars react to the news that the White House party crasher will star on the show – and it isn’t always polite.

Lynda Erkiletian, who clashed with Michaele on Housewives, saw Celebrity Rehab coming.

“I’ve been recommending therapy for quite a while, and probably now’s a good time,” she tells me. “I think it will be an amazing story for Dr. Drew. I respect him, and I think he has a great show. I’m looking forward to seeing how he peels back that onion.”

Meanwhile, Cat wishes Michaele and hubby Tareq would disappear.

“Nope, I’m not gonna say it,” she tells me. “I wish that they went on their way and we don’t have to hear about it all the time. I’m trying to get a hold of Google to find out how I can block their name from coming up on my computer — or my Facebook or my Twitter, period. I haven’t figured out how to do that yet, but hopefully I will.”

So what’s the latest on Real Housewives of D.C. season two?

Mary says ,“We don’t know what’s going on. There’s no word about a second season.”

Lynda says, “We’re all very happy, but what I love about us is that we’re friends. We love each other. We have lives, and we continue to live those lives. Come what may, we’re all very happy. “
